    Default Augment Summons

Tried this with the Defender Enhancement, Pale Master summons, and Casting summons.
Feat worked with all of them. I was most surprised at how sturdy the Adamantine defender was after augmenting. Took him to vale and although he wasnt really doing that much damage, he could take some hits. Frostmarrow Knight seemed to do pretty good too. His freezing attack went off a couple of times.
This also worked with the summon undead spell, but still, this spell sucks. Want to summon a mummy? Good for you, hes only CR 5 though... Broke control about 5 seconds after I summoned him. The spell is still useless. Defender killed him.
I am going to try this and see if it worksout on controlling spells, since the monster is now under your control. Oozes are next. Anyone have ooze summon armor? I want to see if it ups the stats on him too. There are also the Holiday shrieking defenders clickies, I want to see if it effects those too. Can we have them as a regular pet please?

Got ready to test some more. Wanted to see if I could summon a hireling from the ddo store and see if he got the augmented stats. Went to vale and bought lvl 1 barb wf. Summoned him, and promptly crashed. Tried to log back in, and it crashed again. Going to wait and see if my toon resets back to the vale after about 10-15 minutes.

    Shame

I am curious if augment summoning increases the stats on a hirelings summons as well.

Hirelings crashing people is a bit of a roadblock i'that though.

When I tried this feat out on my wizard his summons seemed much more survivable, though they still dealt horrible damage... it does work on charms and things but i am still unsure whether your own buffs help the monster break.

Well, compared to now, the Troll can finally kill monsters by himself and as he regen you even not need to heal even the dog has now a higher chance to trip Opponents. Buffed with Bulls, Blur and Mage Armor he did fine so far. That to say the most viable Summons are probably (still) Dog, Stonegolem and Bezikira (Lion and Razorcat for Rangers) due to their ability to trip or hold monsters, Troll due to the regen and maybe the Hezrou due to their teleport. The Scorpion on the other hand is still useless as you only see it 25% of the time and the other it is below the earth and this way even not work for aggro management.
    * We have collectable bags, mind you, even hireling folders, but can I have that 6-pack for my potions please?

I've got an enchantment / necromancy spec'd wizard coming up now so I can go whole hog ... companions, summons, pale master pets & charmed folks. I'm going to have to miss out on enlarge so I can make it fit on a human with all the other things I want, but I can't wait to try it out.

I imagine it'll be annoying as hell in a group, but this is a toon I've got pegged for more low-man or solo-play.

As of today that has been fixed

Tested a bit earlier today after patch and I confirmed that hirelings are effected by the augment summoning feat. I was able to buff with greater heroism, blur, displace, stoneskin, bull's strength (for another +4 str), Bear's endurance ( for another +4 con), Extended rage (spell version, for +2 str), all the resistances. I don't have a bard, so was not able to see how they perform with bard buffs, or cleric buffs. Took a 16 fighter buffed to vale and was able to let her tank for me, she lasted through about 30-40 mobs AND 2 bosses. I had to leave for night school so I could not test more than that, but I am sure she would have lasted another 30-40 mobs.
I too a lot of screens of each summon I could muster, so I will edit and post later. The one I was surprised with was the "now not so useless" Bezikira summon spell. Buffed up, he kept most mobs on the floor about 75% of the fight. Have not used him on a boss yet. This is very exciting because although hirelings/summons are not the all around best choice, they can be used as a quick fix when the party has been waiting half an hour to fill.
I also (for kicks) summoned a 16 fighter hireling, my pale master Frost knight, and Adamantine Defender. Buffed them all to heaven and cleared half the zone. Oh, and being able to heal your necro pet = awesome.

Kolbathin, yes the augment summon buff works on charmed/dominated mobs. They also lose the buff when they break free (they keep any other buffs you gave them)

I would love to see how much the cat can do in the hound over a couple minutes. If you dont mind posting pics at like 1 minute and 2 minutes of the cat solo. Healing it is fine or could have someone tank it so no dmg is taken as long as he doesn't have working guards. He saved a Hound a couple weeks back for us which was funny so just curious.

EDIT: Also wouldnt mind seeing if the charm on the dogs in Hound are timed or a will save. Always here different opinions and usually followed with a long winded argument :/

Does this feat apply when you use the items to charm in the hound?

I tested the charms with spells, summon scrolls, and charm scrolls. Each time the buff applied. This would lead me to believe that it would apply with the hounds.

Since this applies to charmed mobs wouldn't this make it easier for them to break free of your charm?

Yes it does, hence why many HOX leaders will look for an Arty a Druid or a Bard for a dog trainer. I regularly ran HOX as the dog trainer due to aug summons.

Sorry for the necro, but my Arti's dog seems not to be receiving the 50% fort from Augment Summoning. Known issue? I have screenies if needed. Not bug reported yet.

Your Iron Defender should be receiving the 50% fort. Unfortunately, the pet character sheet is acting up regarding displaying fortification. I was able to see the Fort bonus when I had both augment summoning and armor with a light fort bonus equipped to my pet. However, if I just had augment summoning OR the armor, the character sheet did not display the fort bonus. We know about the Pet character sheet display issue. However, if this does not cover what you are running into, feel free to send me a PM with more details!

My arty dog has not shown any fort since about 2-3 updates ago. When he was new to game it worked and he typically had 75% due to augment summons etc, but now he only shows whatever fort I put on him, 100% for heavy 75% for medium etc, this doesn't look like a display bug to me just looks like he doesn't get any fort unless I specifically give it to him by augment slot or from docent attribute. Elsewise when I equip heavy fort on him it should show more than 100%, no?
