can't see cursor

i'm new, trying the free stuff to see if i like the game. but after i downloaded the game, i get to the charectar creation screen, and i can't see my mouse cursor. it flickers into view slightly if i press tab, but thats about it. does anyone have any idea's on what i could do to see my cursor, so i can play the game?

Same problem here. Cursor occasionally blinks into view and immediately disappears again. Vista Home Basic, Intel Dual Core T2310, 1280x800 @60Hz. (I think NVIDIA).

In XP:
Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Mouse Pointers (on the left) > Pointer Options > {check the last option on the bottom, which says:} Show location of pointer when I press the Control key

When you press the Control key, a large circle appears around the pointer and quickly zeros in on it's location. This will immediately show you where your pointer is. The catch is that you cannot be moving the cursor when you press Control or the indicator disappears instead of following the cursor. But when you need to find it, this is the best way.

I'm sure Vista has a similar option if you look for it.

Turn OFF "Hide Pointer While Typing" -- Control panel, Mouse (Hardware and Sound), On teh Pointer Options tab, un-click the box for Hide Pointer While Typing.

In Options, Change screen mode to "full window" and aspect ratio to "auto".
Worked well for me.
