I was reading this at work...as opposed to working...thought SOME of it applies. Mainly the emphasis on "changing an mmo post launch". I think you guys did certainly prove the broadness of that statement wrong with the f2p model and its success...but that was based around subsection/business model changes, not directly connected to game play.
Just my 2 cents and words from a peer...
Oh..and I have fun playing DDO...gonna keep playing it till I don't.
