Bought 21 k TP's now what?

Ok, saw the deal at work today $50 for 7 k points and had about 1500 laying around taking me to 22,500 tps atm. My VIP renual is June 28th........I need a fast walk thru on becoming p2p effiently.

I'm guessing I just cancell my subscription? After June 28th I'll still be able to log in, but will have limited access till I use TP's to buy allt he content. (Vip to P2p didnt search me an answer.)

With past points and the like Ive gotten a few character slots, and some stuff..........but have a nice cluster of points now to buy the game with. I think I can work out the sale times and pick up the packs.......but I dont want to lose my toons or bone up in the mechanical part of switching from VIP to P2P.

It's real easy. Ccancel the subscription, then when you log in after the 28th all yor guys will still be there. The game will ask you to choose 4, and then right from the selection screen you can access the store to buy monks and warforgeds and character slots. When those are bought, log in as normal, and use the store to buy whatever you want.

Hint 1 wait for sales on everything you buy if you can possibly help it

Hint 2 if you're going to wait for a sale on shared bank (it's pricey) make sure you get everything out before vip expires, or you'll have to look longingly at all the stuff you put in there 'til you get it outta hock

The shared bank merely becomes withdraw only if you downgrade and do not purchase it. It does not lock the items in.

The only things lost when downgrading are:

Adventure packs you did not previously purchase with points
Monk / Warforged characters are locked until you buy them via the DDOstore
Ability to add stuff to the Shared bank
6 Character slots (the characters will merely be locked until you buy enough character slots to hold them) [base 10 slots for vip, base 4 slots for premium]
Ability to form your own guilds at will (need to purchase a charter from the store)
Reduced priority in login queue when the server is close to full


You do not lose:
Any progress made on any character
Any items
Any favor

The thing about the shared bank is if you dont have the first 20 slots, but got the +10 slots while VIP, you don't get to use the 10slot upgrade until you buy the 20slots again. I was a little miffed about that when I downgraded to premium, though luckily for me the shared bank was on sale at that time and I had planned to buy it regardless. I don't know how I ever lived without 30 shared bank slots.
