It didn't come as to much of a suprise when there was no option for a desktop icon but the last few times I played the game I had to go through the whole re-install step which take 15-20min and now that's not even working. Where can I find the launcher?... because the file named launcher in the ddo folder does absolutely nothing.

New to windows 7 aren't you?
Go look in your "games" directory.
"start" button -> "games".

I have Windows Vista but I do see the icon there and it doesn't launch the game for me. It shows the loading ring and then it disappears and doesn't load the game

Launcher
Yea I have a VIP account on my Vista machine and my daughter has a free account on her Windows 7 machine. The launcher for free play is automatically launching a reinstall and no options to bypass. Get it sorted out please or offer an alternative.
