On Sarlona and Cannith, you would need roughly 2,000 tapestry pieces.

From What I've seen, DOD goes for 1-1.5k plat each, there are exceptions to this of course. A set of taps may go for around 70-100k plat, give or take.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you are confused on how to abbreviate. You probably meant:

DoD: 1-1.5m plat
Set of Taps: 7-10k plat

I guess it's possible taps might be listed for 70-100k plat (been awhile since I looked), but I highly doubt they sell. That's just a price gouge for noobs and they don't have that kinda cash.

But then again, I doubt DoD's sell all that often over 1m plat. At least they shouldn't. 600-800k plat? Ya maybe.

It's been a while since I farmed taps for plats, but as recently as 6-8 weeks ago, I could farm a set in a couple of hours and sell them within a few more in the 100k-130k pp range.


So yeah, you're looking at 7-10 sets of taps for a DoD... and that's only for buyers who don't want to bother farming taps for themselves.

That's pretty cheap for the DoD, and expensive for the taps

I'd value a DoD at no less than 2000k plat (what I'd sell them for), and taps at no more than 1k plat each (what I'd pay for them).

You folks on Sarlona pay too much. It's a funky, fun item sure -- and if I was desperate for one, I'd pay whatever. But there are plenty of other options for WF melee now, it's not worth what it used to be.

In fact, I'll check right now: 8 DoDs ranging from 8m to 18m on Thelanis AH.

I am surprised to hear the gouge prices for taps though. Funny stuff. Well, can't fault people for making cash. 100kpp for 15mins work isn't a bad deal. That's almost better than the cash cow that was the Ice Games.

Yeah, you are right, I'm just bad with numbers sometimes, I don't know whats wrong with me...taps 70-100k plat...dod 1-1.5m plat..sorry for the confusion lol

well, i have seen 2 trades complete for DoD for 1m plat recently, and i bought taps at 3k plat each a few days ago, in the AH you cant find them below 10k really, so thought 3k was ok... but maybe i overpaid... not a big deal, and end game item for 60k is cheap

I usually see DoD for around 1.2 - 1.5 million pp in the AH. So, 200 taps should get you your DoD at current rates. Should take a few weeks to amass that many taps- mainly because of ransack timers.

Gah doesn't it just kill ya to have someone pay 1.5mpp for an item and you only actually get 1mpp in the mail for it? Different subject I know but I was just sitting here thinking about it, mostly because I've considered buying one recently, and it was giving me an upset stomach so I thought I'd share.

Don't jump down his throat too much guys, in U5 tumbling while slowed (and defiance'd) is nerfed. DoD might lose quite a bit of value in the next little while...
