My big problem with DDO

Hey guys I've been realy enjoying playing DDO , it was totaly amazing for a free mmorpg , Ive decided to spend about £30 as If I was buying the game.

Ive recently hit level 9 yay ! , but I cant get into ANY groups . litteraly for about 2 weeks now at my level its baron , nothing at all , apart from the odd TS raid , whitch always ends terribly.

I play on the khyber shard , any one else finding this?

try making some groups yourself?

just put "newbie non-zerg" or something similar in the details box & you should probably get a few people without too much hassle - dont know specifically how it is on Khyber, but on Thelanis at least there are often plenty of newer players around that will join, as well as veterans with lower level characters that are happy to give a tour to newbies that are willing to learn.

Also, consider joining a (newb-friendly) guild. If you find the right one, you'll have a lot of fun.

There are levels where there are more dry spots. I would look for groups higher or lower than you, like 6-9 and 9-12 and anywhere inbetween.

Start your own groups, the more you group, the more people will get to know you and join.

Start of summer is a little slow, school in US gets out, vacations, all that.. Add to that a major update with nerfs the base is upset about and you have quite a few people not playing the last few weeks.

Try different time periods too.

PS I was an original uo player =D , then wow killed my online experance when i went to that for a few years

They other thing I was gonna mention too, you're kind of hitting that "twilight zone" of levels.
Players who run 100% free, and haven't bought any adventure packs at all, or haven't bought any that aid in leveling, will start dropping out at those levels. So it can get quite barren around there, as those who can, level onward. And those who can't, reroll.

That is a very interesting statement, when you consider the focus of development for the last few months.

I have had problems finding groups in the 8-10 range for my TR'd paly. I just know when I get to 10th I can go to GH and things will get better as far as groups. There is a kind of twilight zone in that 8-10 range.

8-12 is the hardest range to level, IMO. I play on Khyber as well. Once you hit 12 there is a lot of Gianthold stuff going on.

maybe u got that box checked, that excludes adventures that are available for f2pl..

people tends to play paid modules at that level(like VoN).
