What is your opinion on that if you want the very best ship that you can not earn the ship but must use a CC for turbine points?

I do not think someone should get able to grab mamas credit card and buy a ship that is better than anything you can unlock without paying actual cash.

At all 3 levels the estore ship is better than the earned ship.

You can still get an airship for straight up in-game money.

So what if there are choices (yes bigger) that cost actual money... Turbine is not a non-profit organization.

Remember... putting money into the game adds longevity to your fun.

It is rather annoying that if you want the best, you have to buy, not earn it in game.
I think that they should make the plat bought and the store bought ships exactly the same.
And just make the level requirement for the store bought ones a bit lower.
Then, at least, it will be like everything else in the game, either grind or pay.

I would agree with you if we were talking about something that was going to affect game play.. but since this just adds "prestige" to guilds.. that comparison does not work.

Have you seen some of the ship buffs? +2 stacking stats, +30 stacking elemental resists, bonuses to hit or damage that stack with everything else, store bought ships have more 'slots' for these bonuses, they may as well be selling +5 tomes

I never denied that there were not perks ( nothing totally game changing ) to having the better ships.. but do you really think they are going to not try to make money on something that will rake in the cash guaranteed?

I would love if everything was completely able to be gained in-game.. Its just not going to happen with their new business model unfortunately.

It could be worse.. all ships could have to be bought with store points.

Oh noes!!!

Someone that shelled out real cash for a ship has a couple extra slots for crew and amenities vs the guild that earned it in-game.

And aren't your examples from the real high level Guild rewards too? Nobody is going to have those for some time...

Does it really matter what that other Guild does or how they got the airship? Is your Guild harmed in any way by what some other Guild has?

Do you really want to throw all those TP away when you upgrade?

Let people pay cash for the airship. That, IMO, foolishness helps the rest of us have a better game.

...and the statflation continues. At least they didn't add a new bunch of damage dice to help with the lag situation.

Eessentially this is just upgraded house P favor.

The elemental resists are not stacking resists.
The stacking stats stack with "most bonuses".. not sure what ones they do not stack as it seems to stack with everything (any clarification as to the type of bonus this is .. Alchemal/morale/insight???)

Would anyone be surprised if they did, We can already buy +2 BTA supreme tomes (+2 to all stats across the board).
And yet the 1750 favor +2 single stat tome of your choice is BTC.

Who wouldnt purchase a +4/+5 tome if they became available in the DDO store with the difficulty in getting +4 tomes as it is the draw to crack the wallet would be hard to resist( I've got 40 TOD runs in on a couple of toons and still no +4 tomes yet). So needless to say if they popped up in the store as one of those specials, I would be hard pressed to resist.

Yup. If the changes were purely convinence, I would say it was a brilliant move. Or if it was a HORRIBLE grind to get it in game and you had the choice of buying instead I would say it was brilliant (I buy my TRs, not grind for them, and am happy for the payment option but think its great there is a free option)

But when you can only get something for cash that impacts gameplay, thats harder to justify.

As has been stated there isn't a thing for sale in the DDO store besides turbine points that require cash. You can grind Turbine point and never pay a cent. So you are looking at either your HORRIBLE grin to get the TPs or paying cash for them, it's your choice.
