But ya all look same in this game - they could actually just set off most types, so only DT is shown.
Since from lvl 16, 90 % will be wearing it, and look like clones.
Kind of sad.

We already did that like 2 mods ago....

And the Devs responded with those cosmetic hats you can toggle on and off.

I hope that means they're testing it out.

In lotro each and every character has 2 different type of slots for each armor piece. One slot is for the real item you want for effect and stuff. The other type of slot is just for looks.

Actually, we have 3 different slots, one for our 'actual' armour and 2 comestic slots.

So at any given time you can immediately cycle between three distinct visual appearances, 2 of which are completely under your control. Enhanced even further with the armour dyes.

It's a very nice feature, it would be great to see it come here too!

I myself have the Fullplate of the Defender. It roughly looks like a plate that I loved, but is not the same. If I can have the defender's stats with my beloved plate look, I will be happy AND effective.

Bump - cos - everytime I bump this Thread someone new see's it and posts their comments. I hope this shows to Turbine, that a comprehensive (instead of gimmicky) armour appearance customisation system is wanted, and needed in DDO.

If anyone was ever foolish enough to make me a game dev, i'd sell armour skin change tools in the DDO store, and then make all default armour skins look like variations of a pink Tutu.
