I misred the post. I thought it was saying that you can earn everything in the store that is available for purcuase via in game methods (whic his what we were told when the store came out).

TP farming is not regular questing ..

the purchasable guild ships through AD are gamebreaking in so far as that with money you can gain more benifits then even the highest in game through IN GAME MECHANICS .... AD being the only way to purchase high end ships and AD only able to be purchased from DDOstore is a direct violation to there own dictated DDOstore value vs in game randomly generated values THAT THEY SET!!!!!

that being said ... i would have to appologize under one situation that I have not tested yet and not sure if its an available option so please if you know please pass the info on ...

regular ship can be purchased by a guild with 25 lvl renown and **** load of platinum ... correct? .... regular ship can be traded TOWARD AD for bigger better AD purchasable only ship ... correct? ...

so my question is ...

can you sell your ship for AD then purchase another ship sell it for AD over and over until you have enough AD to purchase the SAME SIZE ship ....

if so then that is the in game mechanic and while its stupid ... at least its fair ... serious plat sync and farmable through regular means and then i would owe turbine a sorry .... but if you cannot .. .and you have to trade in your ship and pay the difference right away then .. .i hold my ground ....

paying for real money for AD is the dumbest thing i have ever heard and if there really is no other way to do it but grind out TP for days on end when people really should be focusing on renown farming then .... perhaps i dont actually give a rats behind about having a guild ship after all ... dont have one now .. .and i dont hate not having one as much as i can see me hating the new my ship is better then yours cause i dont have a family to feed situation.

Doesn't the cheapest of the Storm class cost 1000 diamonds. Let's see... that's 25,000 tps. figuring 1cent per tp (just as some reasonable norm).... $250. F'ing WHAT!

The Stormglory Bolt is only 200 diamonds, (120 with the discount).

The most expensive Stormglory ship is 770 diamonds.

Edit: Still, that's 3000 points for the cheapest ship, or $30. I guess they really expect guilds to be saving up together for one?

Edit Edit: There's a chance that larger quantities of diamonds will be able to be purchased with a discount, but I'm betting that won't be immediately available.

Good to hear. I know there is a screenshot around (just looked at it in the airship thread) that shows 1000 diamonds. Glad it's reduced, not that $50 is a deal.

Though these will probably be the prices we see on live, it could always change in the next couple weeks.

Link please. I know they said that you would be able to get everythin through game play, but I do not recall anywhere where they stated that it would not require grinding nor that the store wouldn't sell more powerful item and you can get through you will find in-game. Can you get +2 Superior Tomes in-game or a potion that boosts all Abilities simultaniously? What about +5 L/G Hearts of Wood?

It has been since they added Raids and the Shroud. Grinding is now part of the Normal Gaming experience, dispite the claim on the box of not being a grind game.

Agreed real money shouldn't be requires and it isn't, only TP's which you can get for free as you note.

So if you go the favor grind route and if the small airship is 1000 ADs, and ADs cost 25 TP for one; then, that is 1000 100 favor runs for a single person, and 200 favor runs for a six person team with 5 4th (or even 1st) level toons and one 20th toon to zerg them.

So a small guild with say 6 people (not toons) will get to run, at an average of 30 minutes per favor run, if they are fast, 100 real hours to farm enough TP for the small ship.

A 100 plus hours of grinding sounds like a blast, I can’t wait!

The small in game ship (that can be bought for in game gold) has 3 small slots, while the small Store bought ship has 2 large and 4 small slots.

Seems to me that there is little choice but to buy the store ship if you want the (currently) stacking buffs.

I will not even do the math on the larger ships as it is just too depressing.

And yes I am sure Turbine will have sales and whatever soon enough.
