    Default Data Center Error

    Hey all

I have been having problems trying to load the game. Yesterday I re-installed it under administrator. (I have Windows 7) ( completly uninstalled it previously)
When I install it then try to load the game (after it is installed) it gives me a data center error. I installed the game with the normal cd I had back when the game first started. Right now I am going to install the game with the client online and see if that adds anything that allows me to load it. (with the original disc it doesn't seem to have turbine invoker.exe) so I am checking see if this other install does.
the game has worked before on win 7, just trying to figure out why it is giving me the problem. I have also set the items to go through with my firewall (dndclient.exe and dndlauncher.exe) However it still did not want to connect, again gave me the data center error.
I will update this once I am able to with my progress. Any ideas would be helpful.

Is the ddoclient.exe being closed unexpectedly? because you usually get the loader to hang at 'getting datacenters' when the client crashes, is alt-f4'ed or you kill the process.

When i get that i just kill the process again (in the task manager, on vista) and then retry, with which the client loads fine.
And even do it every time on purpose because the game is so slow to exit that i just kill it instead of logging out.
Not that it makes any sense to me but works so far.

Thanks for your help and I will try that when I get home. I don't know if I have expianed my self correctly. (I may have not added more informatio because I am not home at this time).

It gives me the data center error then tries to connect and says connection

The following web error occurred while trying to access _https://gls.ddo.com/GLS.AuthServer/Service.asmx_ The underlying connection was closed : could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS.

I know there is no downtime because my other friend is able to jump on (this is before it even gets to the first login screen.

I found this, so I may also try this. http://na6.salesforce.com/_ui/selfse...5%26t%3D4&ps=1

Well I belive I have fixed my problem. It was not allowing me to get access to my App Data folder. I tried doing a regular permissions fix, and add me back in, but that didn't work, so I got me a program that fixed this issue for me online.

I have disabled IE at this moment ( in the process of enabling it) so I can connect to get my updates, but at this time it seems to be working. Will update if anything changes.

Fixed the problem and oddly enough it was a easy fix (even though I thought I did this before) I just disabled UAC.
