    Default Warforged armor class.

Ok I am going to be TR'ing soon.

Currently I am a Human Warchanter/Barb/Fighter 17/2/1. My armor class more or less blows and I rely on Blur and displacement as my AC. I use a MINII great axe 99% of the time but when I turtle up I use light and darkness shield. When in turtle mode with the warchant song on me I have 10DR/- and about a 45 AC. I also have a halfway decent intimidate and like to do so to keep the mobs around em so I can hit them all (I hate chasing mobs) and keep them off the squishy clerics and sorcs and so on. He is a very popular toon and people like having him in a party. 48 perform skill and lots of buffs to go with my 34 strength (44 raged with titans grip).

So I am trying to figure out if Warforged is the way to go when I TR. I will definitely be going Warchanter but will probably splash at least 2 lvls of Barb and maybe 2 levels of fighter.

I am trying to do some math on AC. Is it worth it to even try is my question I guess.
I have every named docent. and even have a dragon touched docent in the works for when I TR.

So far this is what I have.
Mythral body feat with a 12 dex to start gives me a...
    16 base AC.
+3 more dex based AC after a +6 dex item.
    +5 from a +5 docent
+2 from reinforced plating most named docents have.
    +4 from Bard AC song
+10 from Dark and light shield (Im true neutral)
    ______Gives an AC of......
40 Fairly low especially at high level. I might as well be wearing the Sunday times. I won't be using the shield unless in intimitank mode either so that knocks 10 right off the top.

Now for DR. Chances are I will be relying on this, blur and displacement as I currently do.
I wind up with 10/- DR including the warchant song and light and darkness.
    7/-DR without the shield.
    __________________________________________________ _______________

Is it possible to get a higher AC on a WF and how?

I plan on taking more intimidate and would like to add the function of being an intimitank to the mix of my character. As it is right now I can intimidate and hold the orthons in VoD but would like to do it better, all while healing, doing mass damage, playing songs and every thing else a bard does.

    Thanking you in advance.

You get ac the same way as any other race, you grind for the gear. This isn't very beneficial if you have other easier ways (displacement) available.

I am aware that there is gear such as the chattering ring and so on.

My question was did I do it right with mythril body feat and so on? Is there something else build wise I can do to increase AC other than the usual suspects like dodge feat.

    Default had same question..

Previous poster said that you get same ac as other races..

i know OP did not mention having items that give, natural armor, protection ac and so on, so i guess he can get those stuff to enhance his ac... BUT..

Light, medium and heavy armor, that other races can wear have base ac from 5 to 9 pluss enchant bonus up to 5/6. Docents only have this enchant bonus, so when you use docent you are at at least 5 to 9 AC disatvantage... am i right or not? and if not, then how? all calculations done i can say that if you compare warforged monk and lets say human monk, then their ac should be the same in same gear... but what about warforged paladin and human paladin? aint wf paladin at -9 ac compared to human paladin because docent just does not have the same ac as plate has?

Mithril body feat is 5 AC + whatever enchantment docents... it's as if you had a chain shirt stapled to your body.

Adamantine body feat is 8 or 9 AC + whatever enchantments... but heavy armor so no evasion allowed.

Additionally, some docents give reinforced armor bonuses which add to the base 2, 5, or 8 AC the body feats give as well as an enchantment bonus.

    WF AC requires:
sacrificing an additional feat for armor
farming for the proper gear just like every other race
willingness to wear pink all the time as the best docents seem to be pink by default
