Your best "oops" moment

i just joined a new guild, a guild that just happened to have the highest guild level on the server(wasnt much at that time though) and when i check the calendar i see that theres an epic von 6 in a few hours. i sign up and when its time to do the raid im tired as hell cuz its like 5am my time but i still really wanna do this raid ive never done before with my new guildies. so when i joined they have finished part 5 and are getting shipbuffs. i go inside acting purely on autopilot since i cant think straight and walk up to the dwarf and just clicks random options out of habit... the moment i finish the conversation my mind catches up and i realize how friggin stupid i am.

my new guildies werent too happy about having to rerun the 30-40 min prequest:P personally i dropped group and got me some well needed sleep

Two moments of "D'oh" and one moment of "Darn"

My Wizard (my first Character) got his first Major Mnemonic Pot from a chest in GH, 1 minute Later XXX hits you with his fireball (or whatever spell he used). Item destroyed Major Mnemonic Potion. "D'oh"

Same Wizard. Was soloing Rainbow in the dark, fighting the final boss, killing him with just a few HPs left. Rage runs out in 3 ... 2 ... 1 *ding*. "D'oh"

Another Character doing elite Trial by fire, rather low on HP, poisoned, so backing away from battle and decided to get rid of the poison with a clicky. Well, the clicky turned out to be on the same spot as my con item ... *ding*, the only death during the whole quest. "Darn"

How is that a "D'oh"? Pure bad luck -- there was nothing you could do about it.

Reminded of this one by another post.....

Had been playing for a few hours when my wife called home from work. Not wanting to hear here complain about me being on DDO again I turn the volume on my speakers down. Now I have it set up so I push R to talk on VC. Of course after playing that long I was used to pushing it every time I talked. By the time I turned the volume back up the whole party was laughing about the one sided conversation they could hear.

Sometimes habits are hard to break.

Ha, I do it too. The worst though is that my game room is upstairs where we keep the computer, so when she comes in from work I yell down at her from upstairs, blowing the eardrums of the entire party.

Was running Stealer of Souls on my cleric, only my second time ever in the quest. Group was very competent, things were dying quickly, everything was going smoothly. We get to the air section and I go into full nuke mode. Quick, easy quest completion. I sit down to shrine when someone says over VC that there are two air elementals left. I rotate the camera in time to see one making a bee line for me. I get knocked down and it throws me--right off the side, with no ability to get back on the platform since I'm also knocked down (imagine this in slow motion, as I also have FF on, with me thinking "OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOO"). Turns out when you fall off the side, you end up back in Sor'jek's chamber...so there I am, alone, looking at Sor'jek, with only some of my buffs and a lot of SP missing. Oh, the chat when that happened was glorious.

We still completed quite readily; I told everyone to shrine/buff and ran around the room in circles until they arrived and then drank a pot when I ran out of SP. But yeah, I felt pretty stupid even if it wasn't entirely my fault.
