    Default New Korthos Quest

I noticed a new quest in Korthos when I made a new toon to test total favor earned as a possible way to earn renown. Haven't hit any benchmarks to know yet so don't ask.

But in the bar, AFTER you complete the bar quest, there is an NPC on the across the bar from the bartender.

The only thing she gives you is a quest to bring some Old Sullys Vintage Grog, HERE's the catch. The grog is ONLY avail via the DDO Store (none in stock when I checked)

You turn in the grog to an NPC on Korthos dock for a Siberys Rez Cake. Until they put the Grog on the DDO store, will never know if it's cheaper than a normal rez cake or not.

O.o - an introduction to the DDO store is probably a good thing... requiring you to actually purchase something though? Don't know how I like that.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the item will be something free from the store, just to get people experience with using it.

Obvious bug and hope you reported it because any game that has any self respect would not make you buy something to finish a quest.
Unless the developers have been replaced with pod people supplied by the marketing dept.

I highly doubt it is a bug, as the quest npc text, at the very bottom especially says that the item is only available in the DDO store. Maybe it will be a free item as a tutorial, that would be kewl.

I have noticed a couple other tutorials so far, one about spirit binding in Korthos. Then the chick who gives you the bags can give you another tutorial about finding more spirit binders in the "world".

Kudos Turbine, I like the tutorials, but we need more of them, like on Astral Diamonds :P

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

    Depends.

    It wouldn't surprise me if:
    1) The old sullys grog is either 1 TP, or 0 TP. Considering you only need 5 favor to get your first batch of TP on a new server, 1 TP isnt a bad price for this item if for some reason they cant set it to 0 in the store.
    2) The quest reward is bound to character rather than account.

If 1 and 2 are true, then it makes a perfect intro to the store, gives players a nice one-time reward, and starts getting the newbs hooked on rez cakes (they sure need a lot of them).

If the reward is BtA, then either the 0TP price will lead people to farm the **** out of that quest (make character, get cake, delete, transfer to other character via shared bank, make new character), or it will force the grog to be of similar price as the reward (mayeb 50% off or so). In which case this would be a BAD tutorial. Newbies won't want to fork over their first 100ish TP to a quest giver for no obvious gain.

I mentioned this in another thread, it's currently a broken, one time only quest. so yes, im expecting the Item to be free.

I noticed the same thing, I even made a thread about it half a week ago.

Has it been included yet? How many TP would it cost to buy a bottle, or is a zero cost, 1-purchase-only item to essentially get a free cake gratis (or whatever the word is) to begin your adventuring career?
Those are not pebbles surrounding the urn filled with Human teeth. They are megaliths!
