Evoker or Superior Soul for New Player?

Hi, I'm a new player and have been looking at both of these builds for my first FVS. Since I'm new, I don't have a high level toon to supply equipment. I have no problem picking up things from the DDO store though (e.g. tomes).

Just wanted to get people's feedback on what they would recommend for me to start out with. Thanks.

Superior Soul is notably less dependant on exotic equipment, and is more stat-forgiving than the Evoker, which needs gobs of wisdom. It's also more flexible at earlier levels...the Evoker severely lacks punch early on, where the Superior Soul can pick up a pointed stick or basket of loganberries and effectively kill things with it.
