Undead alignment question

I believe skeletons and zombies, including high CR, are supposed to be mindless and Neutral. Are they affected by holy/good damage? What about undead rats and Carrion Eaters in the Orchard?

Also, are vampires chaotic, as they are in PnP?

Nobody answered, so an experiment was in order. A run into Catacombs, armed with Holy light hammer. Yes, skeletons and zombies take good damage.

Now I should visit Bloody Crypt, and hit Salasso with just an axiomatic weapon...

By default, undead are Evil. However, there are some exceptions (Cholthulzz the Doomsphere is Lawful Good).

Depending on the monster will determine where they are on the chaos-law axis.

Skeleton - Neutral Evil
Zombie - Neutral Evil
Reanimated Rat - Neutral Evil
Wight - Lawful Evil
Mummy - Lawful Evil
Quell - Lawful Evil
Wheep - Lawful Evil
Vampire - <Any> Evil, but most vampires that are Followers of Vol are Neutral Evil or Lawful Evil

Sadly, for this question, the DDOwiki is lacking. It only has undead from the original set of quests (so it lacks Vampires, Shadows, Quells, Wheeps, Doomspheres, Mummies, and Reanimated Rats).

I tried to make one, the DDO Catalog, but by module 6 the general interest waned to nothing. A couple weeks ago after realizing there is still nothing that makes a really good DDO bestiary out there I have started to rebuild it, but I still have a lot of data to migrate and a few more features to add.

Although Brother Salasso's alignment is not listed, so I will still perform that experiment. I was planning to do Bloody Crypt soon anyway, so I am not running that maze just to find out whether Salasso is chaotic or not.
