    Can we please keep this thread civil so the devs might actually read and consider it? If you don't like what someone suggested, make your own suggestions. Giving the devs more options to consider is always a good thing.

    Thanks!

    I don't think so at all, I like it.

    Although my version simply includes 1d6 vs all outsiders at tier II and 2d6 vs all outsiders(including elementals) at tier III, I like this one too.

    It's not like it actually causes more damage against multiple races like Rangers get; it's specific.

    This discussion definitely calls attention to the need for more holy or pg metalline wraps. PLEASE add some more, and increase the drop rate on Devouts. They are virtually a necessity for all monks, but an absolute pain in the neck to get. I was grinding it on elite with some other monks including a lvl 20 yesterday (and we got 0). When lvl 20's are farming a lvl 9 quest because they have no other options to bypass DR, something's clearly wrong. Epic Devouts would be a nice touch too, btw.

    On Shintao specifically, there have been some good suggestions. I like Borror0's ideas, making the Shintao more of a support character. I'd like to see boosts to curse of healing and healing finisher. For example, at Shintao tier I curse of healing 2d2, tier II 2d4, tier III 3d4. Shouldn't be overpowered considering the hit points at those levels. The curse damaging outsiders similar to the way it damages undead would also be a boost. Healing finisher could also get a boost, something like an extra d6 per tier.

    Second tier Monk path feats would be cool too, to help focus the PrEs: Path of Dominating Light(DPS/Buffer), path of Purifying Light(Buffer/Cleanser/Raise Dead), Path of Overwhelming Dominion(DPS, DPS, DPS), Path of Dominating Balance(DPS/Debuff/Specialist)

    I want a Light monk to be Durability/DPS specialized, and a Dark monk to be DPS/Destruction spec'd. Other variants can include a Wannabe Cleric(proposed Light/Light) and a Wannabe Blackguard(proposed Dark/Dark).

    I'd like the Shintao Monk PrE Smite Evil Ability to have its BASE Cooldown to be reduced to 15 sec.

    I would like Each additional Tier of Shintao Monk PrE to reduce that cool down by 3-5 sec

    I would like the Prot Evil effect to be removed and instead have a clickable aura effect that grants a +1 Sacred Bonus to attack and damage EVIL to be added. This effect could last 1 min and cost 30 ki. Let's call this Aura a Righteous Aura

    I would like each tier of Shintao Monk to increase the effect of the aforementioned Righteous Aura by +1 each to a total of +3 at tier three.

    therefore

    Shintao Monk I

    * Prereqs: Level 6 Monk, Path of Harmonious Balance, Stunning Fist, Monk Concentration II, Monk Improved Recovery I and any one of Cleave, Combat Expertise, Die Hard, Discipline, Luck of Heroes, Precision, Resilience, or Self Sufficient

    * Benefit: You guide others on the path of enlightenment leading by example. You gain the ability to expend ki to smite evil creatures and can create an aura against evil. Your unarmed attacks now bypass Byshek damage reduction.

    Shintao Monk Aur a of Righteous

    * Cost: 30 Ki
    * Benefit: You create a shimmering aura that extend from your body, those within this aura feel the energy flow through them and empowers them to combat the forces of evil. This ability counts as a light move.

    Shintao Monk Smite Evil

    * Cost: 10 Ki
    * Benefit: To deal devastating blows in melee against evil creatures. You gain twice your wisdom modifier to your attack roll and a damage bonus based on your monk level. This ability counts as a light move.

    Light Side monks seem to be saddled with their abilities mimicing easily attained potions and clicky effects. Removing those from the game would only serve to frustrate and annoy, rather than to make these effects useful.

    Protection From Evil? 50 gold piece potions, wand, better effects like Circle against Evil, Silver Flame Fragment?

    All of the effect upto and including Rise of the Phoenix... every one of them can be gotten through potion scroll wand or Clicky.

    Dark side Monks at least have effects that are unique to them.

    This PrE should not be a continuation of the same where lopsided DPS and lackluster abilities make it a bad choice
