Default LOTRO goes F2P - Former DDO Lifetimers Opinion needed

SO Today LOTRO announced that it is going Free-to-Play. Some of the lifetime subscription members are starting to bug out a bit. I was looking for any of Lifetimers (or yearly subscribers) from DDO to give me their impressions of the change, the good and the bad please..

I appreciate any feedback you may have,

    Thank you and good morning!

My wife and I have lifetime over in Lotro, and we've been playing DDO for longer than the join date indicates.

We did purchace moria and mirkwood. (so when it goes F2P, we still have access to everything).

What does LOTRO going F2P mean to us? We get free tp every month. Nothing else changes.

The BIG issue that will be had it accounting of TP. There is no "bank" to go check your spending habits. Therefore there is no way to be certain you got your TP for the month, etc. You have to be your own banker which is really flipping annoying.

Also given that if your acocunt has both DDO and LOTRO, I'm expecting screw ups. Aka.. not getting TP, not recieveing TP, TP going to the wrong pool...

I think I'm going to be doing some google spreadsheets for TP expendatures and gains.

You'll still be coming out ahead. You'll get any new content and gain monthly bonus Turbine Points.

You would be the first I've heard to speak of such. LOTROs currently advertised 500 a month is what VIPs are getting currently. If a nerf was coming, I'd be suspect that LOtRO would not have advertised 500 but instead the changed value.

Never heard of that, and that would be quite odd since many consider the advantages of VIP "not enough."

If its like VIP here, nothing will really change, you'll get some TP to spend on fluff (looking foward to XP elixirs over there). I was VIP before DDO went f2p, and I'm still VIP and I haven't really noticed a change (other than a lot more players).

There is no Turbine point nerf coming for VIPs here.
