    Question

Did they fix the hireling lag? The kind when they freeze your whole game and nothin is moving , then it starts up again and you see all the damage you took n die within a half a second? I don't bother using them anymore because it was getting to be a routine thing wit me n my friends. :/

If they fixed that then i would gladly take Klin and his hezrou on some adventures again.

Has anyone checked to see if cooldown timers fix has fixed the barb rage timer bug?

I always liked Tear of Dalkin and never had problems completing it. Even ran it a few times without a rouge to see if the shrines were nessesary they were not. The first person ever on my squelch list came from ToD when we got to the first shrine and he wanted someone to unlock the shrine LOL no one could and he went into a rant about poor leaders picking poor groups that couldent complete a quest on normal much less hard or eleite. So we reformed without him picked another person without OL skills and completed N,H,E.

Love the quest and it is the first quest that makes you learn your role, learn how to play your char to its best, learn patience, learn to listen to the leader and learn what is coming up in your char's future in the way of hardness. Really, it was always touted as a learning tool and it was great at being such now it is getting dumbed down? Sad panda is sad.

What it means is that depending on the grade of the weapon the effect will be mild in str to full flame.

Example, the Flame Touch Weapons now only show the on sheen effect from the former Flaming Effect with no flame, the Flaming Effect shows the sheen with a sinder effect flickering off the blade, and the Flaming Burst effect is now the only one with the full flame effect. Same goes with all elements now. That way you can visual see how potent someones weapon is in terms of elemental effects.

    What previous poster said.
Holy and pure good wpns seem to be unaffected at this time.

    ...

Playing at custom gfx options, weapon halos on other players' weapon seldom show up at all, even in the same party.

I would suggest a switch approach - such as /showhalo on/off - the same way they did for helmets and dragonmarks.

    ...

Regarding Tear of Dhakaan, I liked the level of challenge it used to provide.
It required a well-rounded party; doing away with all shrine locks would make it more solo friendly.
Maybe putting back locks on harder settings could be a viable compromise.

WHY? It was not a hard quest, and having some quests not be a cakewalk is a good thing. It should not be enough to merely show up and be able to beat a quest.

I guess they should be adding a shrine to Shroud Part 4 next since that is too hard for some....sigh
I don't know if I can agree with that......I found not being able to get those shrines open to be a major problem with a lot of parties.

Maybe keep one of them locked........either way if you left the first one open, you'd have to make sure to go back and use it before passing the village, and if u left the second one open only, you'd have to make it thru the village and practically the whole quest to get there.

Remember, many of these changes are directed towards new players....we as vets have to suck it up some and find other ways to challenge ourselves......unfortunately for many as it seems....that will mean playing a different game.

Is this what I think it is Pillar of Light: Add Radiance II. Are you telling me you can get a tier three gs effect on an item at lvl 4-6. Holy cow. Talk about power jumping. Granted my q-stick rogue will love that but that might be a bit much

    Uhmm no...lol....

Radiance II in this aspect would be adding 20% increase to potency of your level 2 and lower light spells. Basically it's meant for FvS/Clerics.

    Nice try

Interesting, the OP highlighted some of the exact same things that I had lauded in a thread of my own. All things considered, Update 5 looks great. I said it there and I'll say it again, great job, Devs!

    Yeah second that...

With Tear I dont have a problem with the shrines - the respawn room and optional
Golem has caused 90% of the PUG drama I've seen for that quest.

Funniest one was a PUG where one guy went after the optional (despite being a no optional run listed in LFM) - the first time Cleric followed him - their desperate pleas for help (OMG we cant hurt it HELP etc) where kind of amusing as the rest of us completed...

This is kinda sad... Tear is one of those quests that is both fun and easy. It seems a rite of passage to go in at least one level below the rating and zerg it. If you make it through without dieing or using the locked shrine, it means you probably aren't a gimp.

I dislike this change. We don't refer to auto-prices as 100 Hamiltons ($10 bills). The base currency is gold, by which everything else is measured as either being a fraction or multiplication.

Agreed. But this game is SOOOOOO monte haul, that it is really inconvenient to work in plat. I mean, the AH won't even let you post something for less than 1000 gold I think.

I like the gold base currency, but it's just not what the bulk of the players use. Frankly, making the base currency some sort of 1000 GP gem would make more sense.

    Catacombs

So why can't y'all fix this so more than one person at a time can talk to Archbishop Dryden? Or is that what this fix is about?

I havent tried it, but I bet they removed some of the talk twice requirements from the flow. Those tripped people up their first time through.

Tear could do with 1 x unlocked shrine somewhere out of the way, maybe in the water area near the wisdom rune.

But the other 2 being locked makes sense in a hobgoblin complex.
however,.,., you should be able to kill somebody for the key or find it, THAT part never made sense. Locked but NOBODY living there knows how to get in?
