U5 went back and worked quite a bit with the monk class by starting to add two PRE chains and modifying a few feats/enhancements that monks may take.


However the real question is:

Do all these changes like that of void strike, addition of short swords via Dark PRE and longswords via costly feat mean that:
A. GS handwraps just arent going to actually be done ever and an entire class is shafted from crafting their superior weapon [handwraps]
B. work on GS handwraps was in progress but just wouldnt make it in time for U5 without serious bugs
C. the other things added were to deter questions about greensteel as now the inclusion of such might be overpowered
D. Something else is going on that the player base is not privy to



It would be nice to know where monks and GS handwraps stand. Even if we arent allowed the whole story.

As a monk, I find it rather disheartening that the one major aspect of the game that allows character customization (crafting) is just not allowed in its normal form for monks, forcing the usage of weapon types I particularly do not care for and that which none of the parts of the class support, other than being basic Ki weapons.
