Thank Turbine for keeping these two items as they are. Back to spending a whole year grinding for the eSSR. Don't even have 1 piece yet. But it's something to work for.

The change to the Mysterious Bauble was unintended, and we're looking into a fix for it. We should have more information on it later.

Why not to nerf bauble ? simple there have to be a point when good equipped raid should spend less time and resources than under-geared and inexperienced group. It doesn't mean mean that everyone should spend loads of resources on the raid, otherwise it should be worthwhile, currently it is not worth to spend XX amount of resources on 1 raid! And with current additions there will be some challenge to current raids, so it just matter time when we will get to the point where groups will be able to do it with minimum resources. So there should be more sales? or maybe another nerf that would make you buy more pots? maybe, but currently i like bauble because it makes me happy in raid that i have some item which gives me free major pot and i wish to get epic sps ring, because it just cool! this is my main reason to keep bauble as same as it was, 2nd reason is increased costs for me which makes me unhappy

Now that this is fixed, can we have some info on the rational behind the original proposed nerf to these items?

This would help me be more certain about the future of my continued support of Turbine games and DDO in particular.

I stand by my judgment that choosing not to nerf ERSS is a good business decision. I'm much more likely to buy a ddostore sp pot in order to complete EDQ2 for a *chance* at finding ERSS mats than I am to ever actually complete one. The better the item, the harder we'll grind for it, and the more Turbine will reap the benefits.

It's unfortunate that you are backing off. The new version was worth enough SP so that it would still be a must have item, but it wasn't enough to make characters without it gimps.

Now if we can just get something done to make finesse builds useful in epic (and hopefully help out paladins too, who are stretched pretty thin as far as working in stunning blow), I'll pretty much be a happy camper.
