    Default New guild loot.

    Edit: Don't have a photobucket account anymore so slapped the photo of the cloak up on DDO's facebook page.

    Just noticed that we are now pulling 'guild' loot.

    lvl 13 Cloak of Elvinkind
    Minimum GUILD LVL 10
    Hide +13
    TINY GUILD AUGMENT SLOT: This item can be upgraded with a Tiny Guild Augment Crystal. See the Guild Vendors in House Kundarak for more information.

    Looks like a whole new world of crafting modifications just came to life.
    Looted both these in single run of 'Raiding The Giant's Vault'

    I still had access to the island as my character was there when I logged in.
    Currently the npc to take you to the island is missing.

    Edit: Sadly, there was no Guild Renown to be had. 8(

    Has anyone else found any of the guild-upgradable loot yet? Haven't had time to keep digging for it just yet. I gave up trying to level up my guild level solo as I can't seem to get any renown from ANY quest I run other than the 200 I've gotten each time I ran kobold's assault.

    EDIT: I take that back. I sacrificed my end reward from 'The Snitch' on hard to get a 'Heroic Deeds'. So there's another 50 renown. 8(

    Huh? Do you need a certain guild level to actually equip the item, or just to use the slot?

    there's currently a guy on Lamania dedicating runs to lvl up the guild to get more info out of it, join the Heroic Deed farming runs ;P

    To actually equip the item, you can fill the slot at any time.

    Got me some nice Masterwork Leather Armor with a Med Guild Augment Slot today.

    They told us in an interview that there were new magic items that would require a certain guild level to use.

    Why? because you are too anti-social to try joining an established guild? I applaud the idea of having perks for being in a guild. Just as long as these are alternatives and not specifically better than the other options available to a non-guilded person.

    So a certain % of all the random loot I pull is going to be completely useless to me? I guess that's already the case with RRs and such, but pulling useful random loot is rare enough as it is.

    Because the item gains nothing besides the augment slot. If the slot alone is locked out based on guild level, then unguilded/small-guilded players haven't lost anything they had before Update 5. Now, they have a bunch of junk in the loot tables they can't use at all. At best, they're worth a bit more on the AH.

    Obviously, nothing "has" to be changed, but it would be a sensible and good change.

    edit: RRs are different. They can be bypassed via UMD, and quite easily. They also make the item better by lowering min-level.

    Find yourself a good piece of loot finally, but aren't a member of a guild? Too bad, you can't use it, cuz it has a guild augment slot.

    erm +1 of cold resist ml 12 isn't good. It's tragic, unless augment slots are worth it, so their basically vendor trash that people with guilds (hell even 1 man guilds over time could garner enough for 10th since they wont degerate til some ime after 20) to use these items.

    Augment slots are worth it. A large Augment slot is 20 hp, a tiny is 5 hp, each tier is 5 hp more in this case, and that can go on any item other then a weapon.

    So you think somehow the loot system knows to put guild slots on trash? How about a ring of GFL with a guild slot? Met. of pg handwraps, if weapons can have them? Not all random loot is trash.

    And guild charters cost turbine points.

    So, why the unnecessary penalty to the unguilded when there's a perfectly good alternative?

    edit: Dylos: are those the only options? Can those go on armor? Other options for weapons? Do they stack with Minos? What does it cost to put them on?

    Yes slots appear on weapons.

    There are a lot of options for them. Yes they can go on armor. Yes there are +elemental damage, + to hit, + seeker, etc that can go on weapons. Yes it stacks with minos. For the Large it's 400pp for 6 hours. Medium 200pp for 6 hours. Dependant on haggle of course.

    The bonuses are Guild Bonus. So stacks with all but other guild bonuses.

    The items aren't bound to account so they can be traded/sold. Or, find a guild that doesn't care who comes and goes. Several around. no requirements.
