    Default Airship Destinations..

    I was gonna cmplain that there wasnt a "Reavers Reach" destination..

    THen I thought.. "Well, Its underwater....... guess it would be immpossible to get to...."

    THen I realized all the explorer/quest areas in Reavers reach have a Sky..

    So where is this area exactly? How do I go underwater to get to the public area, but the instanced areas seem to be surface areas?

    Oh well, who cares...

    Please add a Tower to Reavers Reach or at least Syber Atol.

    That doesn't really make sense from a story perspective. It's supposed to be a secluded area with no civilization. I doubt the fish-men people there would like an airship tower.

    I think we can take out the Shagaughin if needed.

    I would say Siber Atoll considering you use portals from within the Refuge to reach the explorable zones :P The explorables do not necessarily have to be within the Refuge just the portals themselves my friend, that should answer your question about why the explorable instances are suface instances.

    Edit: This should continue to be a jump off point like it currently is, no need for a tower just a stop off place for the Guild Airship destination.

    I dont get it.. traditionally, you take an airship to get there. Why cant a guild airship do the same thing? And why would there need to be a tower when you can just jump overboard like we do currently?

    So.. you want to create a major docking port to a dragon's "hidden" lair, of which only a few 'speical' NPCs know the location of, and your characters have to jump ship to reach....

    Player convince wise it makes perfect sense. For story believability... not so much.

    Don't forget that to get to the adventure areas you must travel through a portal, so it's not like the areas are an extension of the caverns.

    It should be easy enough for an airship to fly by and drop you over the atoll though...

    ok, Can we at least get an NPC to port us back to a reasonable location?

    The whole fly to the roof, swim to the Lizzard and get proted to the harbor lowbie area makes less sense than docking an airship if ya ask me.

    I say let Keeper have more fun with air jets to shoot us out of the cavern Goonies style. Because, yeah.. the whole fly routine is very annoying.

    Dragons! Reaver's reach is your typical dragon isles. No seaships dare go near, and airships require you to jump overboard.

    Remember the DMG note saying that your own henchmen are not supposed to gift you their loot and equipment?
    Well, this is about the same, NPC crewmen won't willingly go nearby even if it is your own airship (mutiny!).

    Of course, you can always go and ask the dragons to let you park your ship?
    Dragons may be territorial but can be bribed with enough effort.

    You leave the Reach via an opened portal to those areas... they aren't part of the actual Reach area by storyline. So it still makes sense. Don't know if they can add an airtower as that would bypass the guy on the spire checking levels in the MP.

    Uh... Could have sworn I saw a picture of the atoll with a bunch of airships around it. Somewhere. Might have been the preview pics with the original "news" release. Maybe we'll still see it.

    As posted elsewhere about the price sheet for the airships. Navigators give you the following text:

    Grants the ability to hire a navigator for a limited duration on an airship, who will allow transport to any public area for which you have started (or completed) the associated Explorer quest.

    so it looks like we will be able to open more destinations!?

    The guy that checks your name in the airship tower of the marketplace explains it quite well.
    That his ship was 'chartered by the Delegation of Argonessen", and explain who they are.
    That the captain is only able to get near enough to let you jump down.
    And ends saying that he is 'not about to cross a dragon'.

    Can't see Argonessen giving full air clearance to civil ships but can see the dragons granting you a flight back to the ship.
    Easiest way may be letting the stormreaver give you an extended version of the fly spell?

    I forgot you were even supposed to do that. I only leave the area via teleport for a caster/UMD character or death taxi to Meridia for the rest. I guess the extensive therapy is working: I clearly remembered that it was a PITA, but completely forgot how or why.

    It has to be a destination eventually.

    The lower level navigators state you have to do some form of exploration quest or at least start the exploration quest in order to open each additional public area. But, the highest level navigator clearly states that he gives you access to ALL PUBLIC AREAS. That would include the lovely Reaver's area.

    Simple enough, you tell the navigator you want to go there, he teleports you to the ship that is already there. Then you step off the plank as usual.

    We'll just have to see once someone opens up all the airship navigators.
