Default UK player looking to break a solo run !

having been a DDO player for 6 or so months now and having got to grips with solo play I found myself sometimes wandering about raids or what lies behind the doors of multi player quests. But I put these thoughts aside as my play time is erratic and I have a young daughter, so felt solo play was a better option as if I had stuff that distracted me only my own game play was affected.

But last night after battling through fleshmakers only to get stuck at the runes part and failing to get a hireling to understand what I wanted I made a vow.

Solo play is OK but maybe this group play has something going for it !

I thought of pugging but again the random nature and my out of work demands make this a non starter.

So anyway what I am looking for is a guild , maybe for static play so I can make arrangements for to cover my home life while I enjoy DDO.

I'm quite prepared to roll up a new character so all recomendations welcome

I'm on Thelanis like (I believe) most EU players are so I can't help with the group issue but I live close to Walsall so...

WOOT MIDLANDS!! Definately a +1 rep from me.

(but NOT a Brummie so !!)

From a couple of the guild listing threads I've seen, Married With Children or one of the guilds allied with them (there's three or four I think who are pretty close) may be right up your street. I'm not in them, so I say this having only read their forum posts and had a quick look at their websites and obviously you'd have to ask them, not me, if they'll have you!

I'm also a UK player and I have a 3 year old son, so am frequently called away mid quest in the evenings if he wakes up or whatever, and everyone in my guild is very tolerant of that - but 'everyone' is a bit misleading, the guild is only 3 people, real life friends and we have a guild rule that only RL friends get to join - just to keep the stress down.

However, if you LARP, there's a pretty good chance we DO know you IRL, or know someone who knows you - so if so drop me a PM and we can have a think about it (please don't take any subsequent refusal to invite as anything other than - sorry, we don't know you after all - we'd be happy to play with you in groups until we did get to know you I expect!). But I suspect MwC may be what you're looking for as they have the numbers and the experience. (None of us in the "Sika of Kairnwood" have a toon over L12).
