So if your guild is nearly empty and you're the only regular, it doesn't add up and it does nothing for making your guild more attractive while recruiting, but rewards the heck out of guilds that happen to have a lot of active players and nothing else like good players, nice players, etc. In essence, a guild of fifty exploiters would get more out of this system than a guild of six honest people. It's pure numbers.

Of course, 50 active players in a gimp guild will theoretically bring in more money than the guild of 6 honest players who've been VIP for 3 years. It's all about attracting and trying to get new people to go premium and buy stuff. I have 4 people in my guild but due to life issues none of us are online regularly. Doubt we'll ever get enough renown to own an airship. *shrugs*

Not necessarily. It worked REALLY well for about the first 3 levels, but then the renown really started to creep. Assuming the higher end stuff actually gives out larger chunks of renown, a good guild of higher level players should do better than our band of kobold killers.
