I'm coming back from break recently, and I'll stick out these nerfs just fine. People are honestly blowing them way out of proportion.
Slight TWF nerf? Meh, debatedly needed.
THF nerf? Only to those who twitch and has a dev's already considering changes, QQ less.
eSoS nerf? Lulz, we all knew it was coming, E admitted that the implementation was outrageous.
Epic token nerf? Meh i can handle it since they are now BTA apparently.
Stunning nerf, needed, it was the msot powerful randomly generated effect, now it may be more in line, but still a little powerful when compared to it's useless counterparts in vertigo(which doesn't give even 1% chance to auto trip) or tendon slicing (which people will mock you for admitting to even using)
Everyone, especially Argo people who I actually know, take a deep breath my friends, think about it, and realize that the nerf bat coming your way is fluffy and won't hurt too much. In two months if you stick around you will hardly notice anymore execpt for the odd nostalgia moments. And if you leave, peace and be well! Maybe I'll see ya in another game some day.
Post edit:
+1.
With all the other old timers out of the way I could be a contender.
I for one am glad the whiney, uptight elitist jerks are leaving. More loot for me
Allready been on a break, been looking for a reason to come back. This Update isnt it.
Making DDO a better game 1 post at a time!

meh, I'm staying. We will handle these nerfs like we handled all the rest: FInd a way around them.

Nope, the "nerfs" don't really seem that bad to me unless I missed something.
same here
but while people are dwelling over the nerf i am still trying to come up with some builds that will preform slightly underpar with what we have now
i am thinking ranger 18/monk2 picking the the longsword prof. and staying in wind stance
and if sup twf comes along pick that up as well go human and hope humans dont get nerfed either
or maybe just switch to ranged DPS kensia/AA/warchanter.... really mix things up
and these nerfs i kinda saw coming... i mean esos was just a little overpowered now nerfing monks.... i didnt know we were overpowered![]()
I will have to see what happens if they do go into effect, and go from there. For me its really about Monks getting thrown in front of the gimp-ifier (pure monks not monk splashes) and the trend towards WoWifiing DDO *points to current U5 damage descriptions*
As always, I'll see what makes it to Live. If this Update stays as is...
Well, it's been fun. At least I can hop on an f2p account and say "hi" to friends. If any are left here.
Cmon guys, this game isnt that hard, you don't need ESoS to be doing the damage it used to be doing to win a quest. Takes 5 mins longer to win an epic quest due to decreased DPS? well if you don't have 5 mins you shouldnt even have logged in to play.
It all comes down to the definition of fun - I just don't see how dealing 700 damage instead of 800 or attacking 6 times instead of 8 is much less fun. If you're worried about how you fare against others in a party killcount wise, a good player will always remain a good player and no nerf can break his ability to shine amongst others. So, what exactly is fun to you ?
I'm staying, thought yes I am new and don't know the history running with this game first hand.
I played EQ off and on through most of it's existance and am used to major nerf's.
Staying. None of these nerfs are that much to me. Anyone quitting over it to me is putting way too much stock in how uber they are.

After stating "**** A BREAK!!!".......I think it really depends on how this is implemented.
If they learned a lesson from the very un-popular "lets change attack speed to a crawl and not tell any one" nerf and gradually fix it little by little until desired effect is achived then they wont be too bad.
If they didn't and just beat the holy-hell outta every thing with the nerf-bat citing "we are fixing lag" and tear up **** so bad that only something vagely resembling DDO is left standing.......I'm gone.
Givin previous track record of devs learning curve......im packing my bags just in case.
