Epic SoS Nerfed to +10 5d6/x3

Yes finally we get to go back to min2 after months of hard work and 80 dragon runs later, its lvl 20 only. but i guess i need to bring back out the ml 12 axe which is now better against anything with dr which was the sos's limitation. Can i somehow downgrade my weapon then and just use it to lvl i mean it has the same crit range as its regular version. Going to be stuck in shroud forever after all the hard work people put into epics. Can you nerf my tod rings and my mc from dq i think 10 seeker is too high make it 6 just like the bloodstone

Sounds epic to me. I would have expected them to keep or lower the base damage, not increase it.

Meh, it's more of an "Upgrade" from the original, but by no means is it "Epic".. that's a very powerful word.

And nerfing the spellstoring ring which is absolutely impossible to get must be 15-20 times harder to get then the esos. Take away twitching fine but at least make a reasonable sos. give us to red slots to put silver and pg on then

Well, I am happy for you.

But I am one of those that stayed through this game throughout thick and thin, but I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription now. My main toon that I put so much work in, that that know can vouch for this, is getting nerfed from all sides- and I handled the fact that fighters had no love for so long- this is a bit too aggressive now.

I like most of those changes, but the Epic Spellstoring Ring - ouch!

I wasn't close to having it made, I'm still going to try to make it, but that's a big nerf.

SS ring nerfed about 50%? Really? Update 5 looks like a giant disappointment. I'm now actually considering canceling my sub, for the first time since I started playing during head start. Why bother paying if I'm never going to log in anyway?

There are many players in this thread that are dedicated elite players for a long time that are spitting on your propositions. Think about this. Its not worth it.

When i 1st saw the stats for the eSOS, my jaw dropped. - The weapon was so much better than all others, it was amazing as a reason to run EV6 till you get it for your THF. (If i would have had a epic running THF-melee, i would have gone for it), but this also gave it a high risk of looming nerfbat in the background. Especial as some devs made remarks in this regard that they "got carried away" when designing it.

But here is not a nerf, but a breaking.
The x4 crit multiplier was the iconic reason to go for that weapon. As in epic most crits happen in auto-crit situations. (like SquelchHU already explained). Base-damage on a weapon that doesnt break DR is not really that important.

I though they´d keep the x4 multiplier, and keep the non-epic base damage or do something to not let it stick out as the Überweapon of DDO.

I hope they adjust the nerf to still keep it a desirable weapon worth the effort to grind it.

I know you did a lot of grinding on that guy, sorry bud. I see only two realities in the game currently, (1)What has to be done to dumb the game down so its easier for new players to grasp and take part in without feeling left out. (2) What makes money in the game. Cant make money in the game if people blow through content too quickly.
I wish I could log into Lamania to see what the feel of the game is like though.
