    Default TWF Ranger

    Im new to ddo, but i played dnd $ adnd for years, and would like some feedback on my ranger build, this is without any equipment

    Looks good over all.

    I'd go True Neutral to reduce incoming damage. And take Toughness instead of Nimble Fingers.

    For favoured enemies, I'd get:
    Undead, Evil Outsider, Giant, Construct

    Most Chaotic Outsiders are also Evil Outsiders, and you can't get double bonus anyway. You'll meet Undead from the very start, and taking Giant just before Gianthold will mean a lot. Constructs is nice to have for golems and portals, but Elemental is also a viable choice for the last FE. The rest are either not so commonly met or dies too fast for it to matter.

    If you have 2500 TP, you should look for the +2 Supreme Tome from the DDO Store. You might not be able to buy it before you actually get to lvl 7, which is the minimum lvl to eat it anyway.

    Looks solid enough; compare to tihocan's Tempest. A few suggestions:

    - I would drop Nimble Fingers and take Toughness at 1st level. Likewise I would drop SF Disable; you don't really need the boost to your trap skills. I think Power Attack and Extend Spell (or maybe SF UMD) are better choices.
    - True Neutral has two big advantages: renders you immune to a lot of alignment-based (i.e., evil / lawful / chaotic) damage; and lets you use Stability items (+ to AC & saves). It's a good alignment choice for builds with high UMD and don't require a lawful alignment (i.e., no monk or paladin levels) like yours, because UMD will let you equip race-/alignment-restricted items once it's high enough.
    - For FEs I would take Giant before Evil Outsider, because it includes ogres & trolls which you fight sooner than most evil outsiders.

    Some comments. You may regret not having base Dex higher if the devs introduce a Superior Two Weapon Fighting feat that requires a base of 19. You may want to drop wisdom down to a base 8, as a +6 item will give you the ability to cast all ranger spells and place that into con (15). With greater human adaptability con instead of Dex, you'll even up the stat and add 20 hitpoints. Toughness should be mandatory on a ranger. You give up 2 hitpoints per level versus fighters and Pallys and 4 per level versus barbs. As a human, you'll get 3 racial toughness enhancements, and one for fighter 1. More hitpoints means more survivability for your character.

    I'd take Rogue at 1, and Fighter at 8. You take Tempest 1 way too late. Really there are minimal enhancement requirement for the PrC; I would argue that no other enhancement is as valuable as the 4 you pay for tempest 1, so you should take it at level 7. To maximize skill points, you should eat a +2 int tome at 7.

    Default Second Try

    This is my second go at this character. I currently have him up to lvl 11 and am loving him for the most part, ive taken into account the suggestions made on my last try and added them in. I left wis at 12 for a little higher will save and dc. I made cha 10 so i didnt take a penalty for umd, since im f2p i wasnt sure the availability for equip for the character so it is what it is. If there is anymore suggestions let me know.
