Freeze on loading screen or getting stuck when zone

Between these two problems I have to close the game and reconnect (thankfully this is pretty quick) nearly every other area I enter. On the loading one the loading bar will be completely blue, but will never switch to the new zone. On the stuck option I can still hold shift and move (tumble), but really choppy and I am still stuck this way when entering another zone - I am also really choppy when jumping if this is happening.


I've been experiencing these issues regularly since I started playing the game and hoping someone has a fix for this. I runa pretty hefty PC and not used to experiencing problems in games.

Windows 7
Intel i7 - 920 OC'd to about what a 965 runs
6GB memory
ATI 5970 graphics card
Stable cable connection

Couple of things I can think of that may be relevant (I can post information later when I get home if it would help).

I run the game on my secondary monitor in window mode.
I run high or very high settings.
I've tried with the game installed on SSD and on normal drives in RAID 0
I tend to have AntiVrius, Firewall, Firefox, Excel, Word, DDO CharGen, Music, IM, etc. open while playing. Hopefully this isn't a problem with the game as I have had this running while 2-3 boxing (seperate clients) of WoW or Eve Online without issues.

I also do the blank out who, click search and hide groups I'm not eligible for to help with starting lag.
