Morningstar love

morning stars in PnP are sorta badass weapons, but in DDO they get the shaft. I suggest that in addition to bastard swords and dwarven axes, they give the much maligned morning star glancing blow damage potential. This would also allow for a blunt weapon the shield tanks can use and still maintain their glancing blows. I know that the bastard sword and the dwarven axe are both exotics, and thus cost an extra feat (except da for dwarves, obv) and morningstar is a basic weapon, but I don't think that's going to imbalance things really. The drop rate on morning stars is laughable, their enhancements are still geared typically towards casters. I think it would just allow for another variant for people to toy around with.

I would like to see morningstars get some love too; although I don't think the glancing blow thing necessarily makes as much sense with the morningstar.

I'm okay with Exotic weapons being beefed up a bit to justify the feat cost - but Morningstars are Simple weapons. I see no reason what so ever to give them a boost "just because".

I would support a different change to morningstars: In PnP they deal both bludgeon and pierce damage. Since they are able to make quarterstaves that deal all 3 (Rahl's might), they should be able to make morningstars deal both. This would allow them to bypass more DR.
