I tip in quests where I see casters saving the day (in epic/necros with firewalls or shroud part 5 with heroic healing).

If it looks like they're not using pots, or they shouldn't be using them (spamming FW for a crit in Prey on the Hunter) then I don't tip.

I've also tipped people that use rez cakes and save the day.

I am sorry, can't tip clerics in a PvE game. Only in PvP areas.

If I see a cleric dump their mana unreasonably, I don't offer them anything to help their expendature. If I see a cleric scrimp on mana and we almost wipe a few times, I don't offer the cleric anything for their frugality. But if I see a cleric make an honest effort to keep the party alive and well, save mana as best they can, and still have to pull out wands, I give them any mana pots I find or have. If they do an awesome job and we still wipe and the group falls apart, then I give them some plat. Usually 10k.

    No percentages.

If a cleric believes wands are critical to their effectiveness at healing, then that is how they designed themselves. No tipping there. Their playstyle, their cost.

You don't see people paying rangers for arrows.

I tip waiters and waitresses. I do not tip clerics. I will toss you a few mana pots after the run if the cleric/fvs actually drank pots, but there is no pre-emptive passing of the pots. Clerics that demand supplies before a raid/quest get ignored--in my experience the ones that demand the most usually do the least and do not return the extras.
