Why not more exotic weapons?

I started DDO before 6 months almost and there are some weapon suggestions:
1)There are no twohanded piercing weapons as meele range could it be a spear? Adding spear might be cool at exotic.
2)Exotic blunt weapons.Why there are no flails?That one could be cool too.
3)Katana and wakizashi,that could monks or rogues favorite weapons.
They are very similar to NWN weapons i admit but suggestion is 'isn't it will be much better with those?'

I would like to see more exotic weapons (a finessable exotic weapon other than kama would be nice, for instance), but first they need to make BS and DA a viable alternative to khopeshes, and figure out a way to do the same for any new exotics. (there are changes to BS and DA in the next update, but it remains to be seen whether they actually help improve the situation)

I don't know why there aren't spears in DDO, but to call a pointy stick "exotic" is a bit of a stretch. (in PnP, they are simple weapons) The only thing more basic is a rock.
