-Dont go by auction prices .They are almost always inflated. But if you think it will sell for that much post it on auction for a 1 mil plat buyout and see what happens worst that can happen is it doesnt sell.

ok to be honest what i was basing my price off of was actually a post on here where someone was trying to sell one for 2.5mil plat and he didnt get nearly as much **** as i'm getting. So I assumed selling one on here for a mil probably wouldnt be a bad idea but clearly it was, oh well.

I would suggest you hold on to those greaves. Unless,you already have another set of them. They are a very nice item to have for many types of builds. If it is just plat you need, just stop spending and start hoardng your plat. It is easy to farm the vale explorer area as well as the IQ area to make plenty of plat. But, there are not many items that make 33% of fire damage just go away.

Auction prices are always correct because auction prices are what people are willing to pay. The problem with looking at the auction house, though, is that the correct auction prices are what the items SOLD for and you never actually see that.

...so, in other words, I guess I agree with Twix. I did want to point out that AH price for items sold through the AH are obviously correct, though. That would actually be the tool I'd most like to have - record of AH objects sold in the past 7 days. I'd rather see that than a search function on the AH.

My strategy for the auction house is to look for the lowest price on an item matching mine and then put my starting price and buyout for the item at 80% of that lowest price. My strategy for putting stuff up on the Forum Marketplaces is exactly the same as Rondonine. Mistakenly put something up for more money than it's worth and then get my expectations corrected by other posters. It's a good system.

yea that was my strat too, there were 4 pairs on the AH for 1.5mil so I figured the 1mil might sell, but it hasnt :P

Seriously though... Large Scales are the Most wanted ingredient for Shroud Crafting. They drop in Parts 4/5 of the Shroud. All the Uberest Greensteel Weapns/Items require 5-6 Large Scales.
