I had a similar problem, turning off stencil shadows fixed it for me. If this doesn't fix it try turning off other graphics options.

yeah, I actually tried that. In fact, used process of elimination with every graphic setting in advanced graphics tab. no good.

Thank you very much tho for replying.

Well figured it out finally. DDO does not play nice with Windows 7 UAC (User Account Control).

I created a new icon in my daughters user account. She didnt have a problem playing. However, when I logged in on my user account, the game started to run lethargic. At the same time Comodo firewall started acting weird. Then the problem I posted in the OP. Finally, Comodo locked out my network and corrupted my LAN drivers.

I believe the good-as-hippo sh_t DDO pando download manager/launcher module and associated files are responsible for corrupting all 3 products. It would have been faster for most to just wipe and reload the OS/game/files, however I was destined to find out what happened.

The fix was a clean uninstall/reinstall of my LAN drivers, firewall and game.

What a waste of a day. Pando is 100% unnecessary Turbine. You need to finally overhaul that piece of junk. Put an end to its misery, and ours.

Just noticed this thread. I had similar issues (not quite as expansive) but just wanted to add that the Pando downloader is absolute garbage. Every time I've re-installed a LOTRO or DDO product, I just go straight from the base disk and patch all the way up. It takes less time, and you don't have to babysit it nor worry about it corrupting your computer.
