    Default Devotion or Pure Good?

Just finished Delera's Tomb series, and was disapointed that I didn't get offered the Devotion handwraps as a reward. Currently I have a pair of +2 Icy Burst Handwraps of Pure Good. My question: are the Devotion handwraps really worth repeating the series over and over in hopes of getting them, or are the ones I have just as good?

Also, are there any other reward items from that series that are worth having?

Conventionally all characters grab Voice of the Master for an XP boost.

I'd grab the Cartouche or Carnifex if it shows up. You can always rerun Deleras for the voice. Those are rare, and quite nice to have, and bound to account. The Cartouche is only obsoleted by a rare raid item.

The XP alone is worth running Delera's several times.

Devotion wraps are wonderful for True Reincarnates, but not so wonderful for the regular Monks that tend to do Delera's at level 6. They are a good set if your chest loot refuses to stop being garbage though.

Like the above posters said, the xp and other rewards are worth the effort.
If you are a Light based monk, the added 30% heal amp on Devotion wraps can also be worth it.

Once you get the hang of running the chain, you can get it done in under an hour and you'll be rewarded with the best xp at that level plus the best rewards.

It's really a win win situation, so I'd say run it until you get what you want.

As has been stated, Devotion are great twink items, but the set that you already have are better general purpose wraps. The Holy on Devotion doesn't work against neutral enemies, only evil. The Icy Burst True Good wraps that you have will work on many more types of enemies, neutral included.

Many people will tell you to take the Voice first, but I disagree. If there is something else on the list that you want (Iron Manacles, Linen Handwraps, Carnifex, etc) you should take those first. The Voice will be on the list next time, just like it always is. The other item that you want may not be there next time.

Devotion is only good to use in Delera's, even though you get it as a reward from there. Funny how that works. The Flametouched Iron is required to bypass the black skeletons' DR.

Flametouched iron just makes the weapon good aligned, as does pure good and holy. Any pure good or holy handwraps bypass black skeleton DR. I once made a post right here in the monk forums pointing out the pointless redundancy of flametouched iron on the Devotion wraps and it was confirmed by a Dev that flametouched iron was added merely for flavor.

As for where they are good, they have holy on them so they are good against anything evil. You'd be surprised just how much you fight in this game that is evil instead of neutral. Just about anything that's not an animal, and even some that I thought were just animals (worgs for instance I didn't know were evil till I used holy on em).

The best use for them is if you have already leveled one character and either are TRing that character or making an alt you can pass the devotion wraps down to as they have no minimum level.

Thanks everyone. Am I right, then, in thinking that the Devotion wraps are an Delera end reward? Or do I get them someplace else? I guess I am going to try to get them.

Yes, Devotion are on the final end reward list of the chain. Take the Voice First, but after that Devotion is a nice to have for future TR's or new monks. The improved devotion effect in the weapon slot can come in handy for a positive path monk.

For my monks ghost touch of pure good wraps were always the way to go for Delera's. One handwraps bypassing DR of every monster in there, and ignoring the ghosts' incorporeal status.

A far as the cartouche is concerned, is that the gizmo which gives you +3 to UMD? My circlet of persuasion does the same, and adds +3 to every other charisma skill. Dunno if I found it in a raid, so there's another one to consider.

On the handwraps rarity scale of things, Ghost touch of Pure Good is probably at about an 8 or 9 out of 10. In fact, I can't ever recall pulling them or seeing them on the AH, though I've no doubt they exist.

For Delera's, however, Holy handwraps function just fine. For the few wraiths you come across, swap out to Ghost Touch. Done deal.

Devotion is Delara's, Devout is necropolis. You want Devout.

As someone else said earlier, Delaras grab Carnifex > Cartouche > Voice. Carnifex seems very rare but it's very good, Cartouche is about 50% drop and voice is 100%.

Only grab Carnifex if you're thinking of TR'ing to a class that can use it or have the shared bank though. Otherwise it's useless to you. Cartouche on the other hand could be useful to any class that has UMD (and you can always LR to get UMD).

The Devout ones are found in the Shadow Crypt quest?

And why Devout over the Devotion?

I dunno...I just went through Delera's again, and I have to say, the wraps I have right now do really well....

Devouts are required for high level quests, not for Deleras. Devouts are almost all monks source of Metalline of Pure Good needed to bypass DR on high end bosses.
