Were you in Ocean stance both times? I've been told your Wisdom score affects the heal yo get from it.

Level 13 pure would be getting 13/2 (round down) + wisdom modifier per tick.

This is of course modified by your healing amp.

If I had to guess on a level 13 getting 17 back I'd say you probably have a 20 wis normally which goes to 22 in ocean stance. That would be 12hp per tick. Healing amp of 20% and 20% (for a human monk or non-human fleshy monk with a 20% amp item) would make it 17hp per tick. You didn't by chance reset enhancements? If not and everything you said is true then I'm wondering if somehow your amp wasn't applying.

That means my guesses were correct on your wisdom (23 and 22 act the same here). Do you have both the 20% healing amp for human and the 20% for monks? If so you should be getting 17hp / tick and the 12hp / tick is reflecting no healing amp.

Oh, on a semi-related note if you have Jidz'Tetka your current wisdom number would mean you'd get more back per tick in fire stance.

    Ocean:
    13 / 2 (round down) = 6 + 6 (for 23 wis) = 12 * 1.2 * 1.2 = 17.28 which rounds down to 17.

    Fire
    13 / 2 = 6 + 4 (for 19 wis) = 10 * 1.2 * 1.2 * 1.25 (Jidz'Tetka) = 18 even

This gap will only grow larger as you level up so if you have Jidz'Tetka you've now hit the point where fire stance is your WoB stance of choice.

Ok, that's really weird if you were getting 17hp in fire stance without Jidz'Tetka - it should be much lower than water in that case due to the 4 points less wisdom.

Jidz'Tetka's really easy to get if you have Sentinels pack by the way and well worth it if you're a healing amp junky.
