Adamantine Ore for summoning cakes

I have 15 Adamantine Ore. Will trade for Daanvi or Kythri jelly cakes, one cake to one ore, any amount up to 15.

No takers. I am surprised, as I thought it was a rather generous offer. I had sold Adamantine Ore on AH for 12-15K gp apiece -- and it actually brought MORE money per ore in larger lots. Whereas last couple times I bought Daanvi/Kythri cakes, I paid 1-2K gp per cake.

Oh well. I guess tonight my ore goes onto AH.

I noticed three days ago someone put 1 Kythri, 1 Daanvi and 1 Thelanis cakes onto AH with no buyout. I wonder if he/she is trying to gauge the market value?

Generosity depends how lazy one is....I can farm 15 Ore with my level 20 in less than 15 minutes.

If you are level 20, you probably have as much use for jelly cakes as for dead jellyfish. There are factors other than laziness.

BTW, I know Adamantine ore is used for Hardness Ritual, and to get items from the duergar smith in Relic quest. Is it used for anything else?

I think that's it. For me it's all about the Hardness Ritual, it's a valuable add to your Greensteel weapons or any low durability weapons. What I'm saying is that paying 12-15K per is insane for all but the rich and lazy, or if you just need one and really really don't want to farm Relic again.

So, really don't be surprised at no takers...anyone who needs it can likely farm it up rather quickly. AH values are often greatly inflated over what something is actually worth.
