Looking to make a tank! Help.

Someone Help! Looking to make a tank! Or a DPS.

Dont know how to make either. Mainly play casters.

So I dont know if I should pick barbarian or fighter, or what to put my stats and feats into.

I know that i want to run up and be able to hit hard, and not lose health so fast.

Just give me some simple advice

I'd check out the builds in the barb and fighter sections and see if you can find one you like.
