Epic Red Dragon Helm question

Just wandering if anyone has done any testing to see if the augmentation effects the damage di for spells when on a lvl 20 caster.

I know in PnP those type effects normally will not increase the caster lvl past the total character lvl, meaning that they are really only good for spell casters with some multi-class levels in them.

Also wandering if it does make you effective lvl 23 for your fire spell does it only effect the ones with 25d6 max and not say fireball that has 10d6 max.

Thanks in advance, I dont want to loot one on my caster someday and end up screwing a melee out of a str7 item.

THe helm augments any spell that has a "Max" above 20d6. spells that are Limite like FIrebal are not effected.

it only affects those spells which arent capped yet

a fireball always does max 1d06, no matter your casterlevel
