I was curious when and why a person might change their game viewing perspective (third-person wide to first-person viewing) in a quest and thought I'd pose the question here:
When do you change how things are seen in-game and why?
When I run in quests with a full group or smaller, I always back the camera out with the mouse wheel for the widest possible view. I can see the baddies coming at us that way, and anything I may need to jump (especially in a zerg group) or leap over during the run, I won't miss.
But lately when I solo I have been turning that mouse wheel the other way, moving it forward to the max, cranking up the music and sound effects, and just delving and wallowing in that awesome immersion factor -- block out the outside world, baby!
It is awesome!!!
Try it.
Turn off the lights, crank up the sound, move your game into first-person perpective and try and solo something with lots of undead. I love it!
Anyway, I was just curious if others did this and when and why.
And if you have a particularly favorite quest to try first-person perspective on solo, list it here and please tell us why.
Thanks everyone.
