    This makes me sad. Dio was not only a great musician, but he was a tremendous statesman for the metal genre. Him and Dee Snider showed the world that smart guys can rock too.

    Well, as many of you know, DIO was a big influence for me and my music. my band (OBLIVIAXE) is playing a SCIFI convention next weekend called IMAGICON, we do not do but one cover....it happens to be Rainbow in the Dark. Our show will be dedicated to his honor and we will close with rainbow.

    My intro to Black Sabbath was while he was at the mic. Sacrilegious as it may be to Ozzy, his voice was always the root of Sabbath to me.
