Yes a cleric or FvS do solo easily ... fact is easier then ever these days because of dungeon scaling ... many a FvS can solo raids which are lower than them or the cheaper epics. Fact is You can solo sins elite on a Barb if you wish. I done so on a fighter with not one point in bloody UMD even... I am pretty sure people could take any class and solo sins elite - patients and plan is all it takes. Just takes knowing your limits and dealing with it strategicly...
The power of a FvS or Cleric in such quests are no different then that of a WF wizard in many quest - the fact they can heal themselves very efficiently... It's not the BB nor their prowess with a sword... it's the healing ability coupled with the ability to do damage which allows such.
The OP's post has nothing to do with soloing... it is about playing as a team. I'm quite sure a BC could solo the quests he's put lfm for - I am quite sure that is not why he accepted them to group though... he was looking for a team player but instead received someone more interested in playing alone.

Outside of Slink, the posters I see agreeing with the OP have join dates of less than 1yr ago. Most likely they're refreegees from some other game where they learned that parties HAVE to have dedicated tanks, DPS, and healers.
DDO is not that kind of game. I have hope that someday they'll learn that.
As for Slink, I don't know him well enough to tell if he's serious or just here to stir the pot. Either one is possible, from what I can tell.

This wasn't supposed to turn into a builds battle I wish I could go back and fix the OP before it turned into that. I am just tired of clerics that seem oblivious of the fact that they have the ability to heal and continue to hack/slash away as they and the rest of the party die and I have to run to the rescue with my wands to take care of it.
Oh ****... This thread has officially gone to he-double-hockey-sticks. Yaga=Thread Doom.
Nannybots are boring and a waste of a perfectly good cleric. The most successful quests I run on my clerics (and I currently have four at various levels/TRs), I throw none or almost no cure spells. Fighters don't take damage when all the mobs are firmly planted on their a$$es from command/greater command, dying in a max/empowered blade barrier, destructed or imploded.

Yes Loki, I am here on both accounts.
From my perspective, if you join a group and zone in together as a group, should be expected that they will also work as a group to accomplish the tasks.
That being said, all of us been on the other side of the fence where you figure on the group working together to achieve the goals only to find a few of the people have other intentions in their playstyle without mentioning it.
I see DDO as a team sport and prefer to play it as such.
Soloing elite sins I could care less...
Running it as a group wiping the map with the orthons backside while on my cleric gives me a great sense of duty and accomplishment when all is said and done.
I dont mind playing DDO oldschool and wish more would feel the same.
The urgency placed by those with Elite/indifferent attitudes causes more problems than the group willing to work together to achieve their goals.
Point being, you have a healing class and decide you wish to group you should expect party members to become reliant upon your services.
Any other belief is a misconception.
Don't want to heal?
Go solo.
That's why your getting blasted...(well one of the reasons)!
No that's not their primary role unless they sign up for it. And even if they join party and say yes i'll heal, doesn't mean they'll primarily heal. Do I want a heal, yes! Do i expect it all the time, NO!
And hear I thought Bards could heal too. Is that their primary role?
And I quess a Casters primary role is to just cast Haste?
Good thing you weren't around when FVS first came out...cause everyone was playing Divine Avengers...Me Too!
P.S. My to hit over 50...dual weilding Scimy's one a RAD II...
maybe the cleric got tired of keeping you up and decided to take matters into his/her own hands...

Wow Diggs you have made a mess of this one. Bad form old man, bad form. Well at least you got your post count up.
hmmm, reminds me of the ex-wife.
Asked me to "clean your stuff off the top of the refrigerator".
grabbed my wallet and made snide comment about the other stuff not being mine.
The heavy laden coinjar top of the fridge cracked one of my front uppers, lol.
Hurt to eat for few days after![]()
