At starting Launch.
I've tried everything that I can find, setting the outgoing/accepted programs. I've tried uninstall/reinstall and now I have to attempt to reinstall every time I want to try to play the game, at launcher, and then- it cuts out with that error. And several other methods, resulting in the concern that I may need to reinstall Windows -.-

Okay, I found the section about System.IO and as I read through it I realized I had done over half of the suggestions, and I have to agree with some of the folks in there who are saying that just changing the folder name doesnt solve the issue. Tried that, didnt work. Moved the files, tried that, didnt work. Set Windows Firewall Settings for the specified Exceptions, didnt work. Still getting the same message.
Appending: So you're aware, every time I attempt to access http://support.turbine.com/ for help with this.. Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. Launcher Logs
I really hope I'm not doing this all wrong and backwards. I'm normally capable of doing all the troubleshooting on my own, so I hate asking for help especially with all the things I've attempted to do to get the game to work and being told I need to reinstall windows by several people/companies(Clearwire/Linksys) which I'm hoping isnt nessecary. Reformatting solved the issue. I apologize in advance if this causes any concern, but all problems I have been having are now resolved. Thank you for the advice in other sections of this forum, just wondered why none of it was working for me and had to resolve the issue with or without assistance from tech support/which as of yet has not replied to my inquiry.(Which is fine)

That one on Vista is usually permissions based, its generally either your A/V stopping the launcher from accessing files in the temp user spaces, or its "UAC" (User Account Control) preventing it.Code:System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "C:\Users\Laura\AppData\Local\Turbine\Dungeons and Dragons Online\Launcher\News.html" is denied
Sometimes though its just borked permissions on that folder "C:\Users\*your username*\AppData\Local\Turbine
Typically going in there (AppData is a hidden folder though so you'd need to enable hidden folder/file view) and deleting the "Turbine" folder itself gets the game to create a new one on next launch.
I posted because of your indication you hadn't received a reply, I double-checked and you did receive one on the 18th, be sure to check your spam/junk mail folders since those emails often get flagged that way, be sure to log into your email providers 'web' interface to add noreply@turbine.com and customersupport@turbine.com to their "safe senders" list and your address/contacts list to prevent future emails getting flagged like that.Knowledge Base | How to get help on the Tech Support forums | Common Tech Issues | Frequently Asked Questions

Log in problems
I'm getting this message
The underlying connection was closed: The server commited an HTTP protocol violation
Coutdown to next attemp 00:13
Then it counts down and loads data and then starts it over again.
Then when I click on suppot or other button it gives me this big long list,
An error has occurred.
