Patch Server Error

Since yesterday evening, I've not been able to log in. Each time the game launcher reaches the point of connecting with the patch server, it fails and coughs up an error that reads, "An update error occured: A connection attempt failed."

I've been playing without any problems what-so-ever, since I first signed up a few weeks ago, up until now..And I've not made any changes to the game setup, network settings, or my router. This problem has literally appeared out of thin air. So I'm pretty certain the cause isn't on my end.

..I still can't get past this apparently mystical error that struck during the few ours I was offline to fix and eat dinner lastnight. Am I the only one being targetted by it?..And is the only "comment" I'm going to get over this is my other thread being closed for attempting to get ANY bit of positive attention at all for my problem?

I'm actually having the same problem. One day I could log in, the next I couldnt. Had a rogue-spyware infect my computer and I took the nessecary measures and am no longer malware-infected. However, since this occured I have also been unable to log in and I have tried countless technical assistance resources and am STILL having server-logon issues. Will try a few more things and see what I come up with...

My apologies..I just discovered one of my brothers had been using Internet Explorer the other night to check his hotmail account, and left the bloody thing set to work offline, which ofcourse would prevent the launcher from functioning properly. I never use the thing myself, so I never thought to check it til I caught him doing it again just now.

Let this be a lesson for anyone else who has younger sibblings, if they so much as touch one of yer computers, KEEP AN EYE ON WHAT THEY'RE DOING ON IT!..lol.

..Lesson relearned.

Try checking Internet Explorer, and weither or not it's set to work offline mode, if it is, uncheck that. Turned out to be my problem, no thanks to one of my brothers...He was originally half-deaf..He's now whole-deaf...heh.
