I've been playing DDO for about 2 years and 90% of that time has been spent playing Dresek, my pure rogue. On May 5 of this year, I cancelled my account.

I didn't cancel it because of some deep hatred of the game or its direction. I cancelled it simply because I was bored with it and the folks I normally played with were playing less and less. The game is still the best MMO I've played, I'm just done with it.

When I cancelled my account, though, I spent a lot of time completing the exit survey. I wrote some rather lengthy comments about class balance as it pertains to rogues; specifically enhancements and the capstone.

A week later, we get Eladrin's news. Coincidence? Ha, I think not!

You're welcome...and my retirement from DDO is probably going to be short-lived!

Thanks Dresek. All my rogue 2's totally appreciate your efforts to improve the class beyond the splash (though you must be somewhat happy that MONK is now the defacto 2 splash class). Though I'm sure Eladrin has read a number of your rogue posts in the past - esp regarding the capstone one.

Was wondering where you had been. Oh and... a lot of us canceled our VIP account and just bought the part of the game we liked (and then the rest of it when it went on sale). Takes away the burden of feeling you need to play all the time to make it worth your VIP money.

I'm just happy to know that update 5 will change it all for you and make it less of a quest grind - since you'll be doing guild airship upgrade grinding! *WHIP CRACK*

Having trouble deciding which snarky reply to use....

is this a "Bye, can I have your stuff" kinda thread?

or is more of an ignorant "The devs don't listen to you or anybody" response appropriate?

Perhaps a clueless "Hi, Welcome." is called for... or a "you FAIL at leaving" could be fun.

I think I'll just go with a generic "I can't come up with anything better so I'll put a picture in my post"
