Confused by an item quality

I think I got a hold of the meaning of most of the convoluted item names and associated qualities that are found on sceptes/clubs/quarterstaffs/... so they finally start to make sense. However, I found a Superior Nihil II scepter and the description says it increases the damage of 2nd and lower lvl NEGATIVE spells. For the life of mine I can't seem to find anywhere a list/description of which spells are "negative"; can anybody shed some light?

I'm not certain on an exhaustive list, but those would be like necro spells. Things that do negative levels or stat decreases I believe.

Negative Energy spells.

Not many of those. Chill Touch, maybe the pale master touch (not sure if items apply to it). Inflict line for clerics. Some new stuff coming in the new update.

As I understand negative spells they also include cause wound spells as well, ranging from minor to critical and also harm.
