Another proposed Ninja Spy / Tempest Build

I already have a character at level 7 that will have the planned level split of 12monk/6ranger/2monk. However it is a derivative of the special forces build and will be Elf with full arcane archer abilities.

That way you stick with handwraps which I think are slightly more dps, get the nice concelament and sneak attack bonuses and yet can switch out to the nice manyshot ability when needed.

Any way to make a build like this with WF? WF lacks the synergy with shortsword that drow has and the sneak attack of halfling, so I dunno, might not be worth doing.

You did, Ninja Spy PrE was just announced yesterday and it includes Shortswords as Ki weapons.

Found it, Very sexy. I might have to roll this up seeing as I cant seem to play a pure rogue or monk and this build does a little of both.

I like this idea.

I am very new to the game i have a Drow ranger/rogue (5/1) at the moment that i really enjoy. Being new though i probably havent set Felus CatusCatus up too well. To much dex not enough strength etc. But she is fun none the less.

I am looking to create this ninja type, or a special forces type. The thing i dont understand is how this build works with such a low wisdom? I rolled one up and the AC is very low due to low wisdom. I dont have a lot of spare gear so perhaps thats where this build falls down for a newbie like me?

Yup, that's my reasoning for drow. Hoping Scorpion PrE adds more flavor to this. Personally, I hate drow, they're ugly, scrawny, and purple

10% Speed > ~+2-3 damage. Also, Ranger provides more skill points than Fighter. Skill points needed for rogue skills. On Favored enemies, ranger will do equal or better damage as well.

Tempest I +10% attack speed dissapears in U5, so if that is your main reasoning for Tempest vs. Kensai, you may need to re-evaluate.

Also - Is the second level of rogue strictly for the skillpoints and extra level of non CC skills? Cause otherwise it serves absolutely no purpose. An extra level of ranger would give you a few more spellpoints, atleast...

....I just realized sumthing...I just built a character today (as in came up with feats and how to split the lvs general idea was there b4 today) similiar to urs very similiar and yes i posted my idea after urs but i posted my idea b4 reading this(compare times of my post on urs to about the drow and compare when i posted my idea theres a gap)... and sumone suggested to use ninja spy to take advantage of sneak attacks and now it looks alot like urs tho the class split different i favored more ranger lvs then monk and i went dex based rather then str but in my defense i dint realize how similiar the builds were till i went thro my posts... last but not least as a question toards ur build y the low wis?..sorry if it seemed if i ripped off ur build tho hers th link to compare

disclaimer: I am really new to this. My max caharcter is 7 level so i knowe just about nothing about this game.

I realise drow dont make good monks and i have read strength is better than dex. Knowing that i have tried to come up with a more dex based character. I would like to goe the ninja spy route and if this warith thing happens that sounds great. Eventually i would like to take Zen archery to round off the mix. Anyway here is my first 5 levels done on the character generater. I bought veteran so i can start at 4th. Any help much appreeciated.

I'm thinking halfling for mine, it's just too much fun watching your toon repeatedly punch a monster in the balls.

Pardon the thread necro, but someone with a character named "Bigjunk" advocating "punching monsters in the balls" seems questionable...
