I propose a solution: Anyone willing to abide by the xoriatian code of conduct put up lfms for a quest stating "Xoriat runs this show"

Now this will only work if you take the first 5 people to try to join the group and will be a way to spread the influence...

Seriously, though I was glad for merger I probably wouldn't be here anymore if it didn't happen. I have met alot of new and good people who I consider friends and wouldn't want to lose.

Xoriat is a frame of mind we know who we are and it will always be in us even though we have to deal with butterflies and RPer's now

PuGing means you zerg to keep everyone alive, constantly back and forth... and they still manage to die, sometimes forcing you to take your support char and solo a fully scaled dungeon until you get to the shrine... which is now the closest you can get to 1-manning old content. Of course, they can always wait at the door instead and let you destroy the dungeon.

If I look at an LFM and don't recognize any or many and know that I have no clue what to expect, I expect the worst and know that I will have to put forth an effort, similar to or even moreso than soloing.

If people are dying fast and furious around me, I just let them die and collect the soulstones and keep going. If they are dying intermittently or just taking a lot of damage, I will try and mitigate and lessen their adverse affects by many possible ways of intervention.

I learned this on Xoriat from guys like Gorm, Kido and other truly elite players that would just pick up my soulstone and carry me to a rez shrine, where I would rez and heal up and then see how far I could get without dying again, trying my best not to slow him down.

Back then, it was a right of passage and a learning experience. We were thankful guys like that would actually pick up our soulstones and carry us on and off.

Now, people are afraid to lead and take chances on people and when they do and the puggers are just brutal, no one is allowed to tell them that or they cry and flame... etc.. etc..

If you don't know that you aren't very good, ask some people, or guage by how you fair against your teammates. If you aren't that good, by pleasent and thankful to those who are better and learn to get better... or drop game and play tetris.

Oh sorry... can't say that... this isn't Xoriat.

Heck in those days only played a cleric..lol... took me a year or so b4 I even made a dps machine...

P.S. Butterflies taste yummy with noobsauce :P

I have said it before, I'll say it again, bring back Xoriat as a VIP INVITE only server, and only original Xoratians allowed back in, and new applicants must be approved by 3 members with 12+ consequtive months on the server. I'd rather have the old no lag, low population server we had, than this mucked up pug fest that I can't stand to play on 90% of the time.

remember that Vampire Guild? eeek.... and heck... I still remember the act of being nice to certain children out there with loud voices cusz I liked their parents...

I liked Xoriat a lot but hey, I also liked meeting folkes like Judo, Flabs, Xyfiel, Impaqt, Band, etc etc... these folkes made my gaming experience SO much more enjoyable... Xoriat was fun, but there are a lot of elite players out there that were never Xoriat.

Heck, wasn't Velah, DQ and Titan beaten first by IFV? Or am I wrong...
