    Default My 16/2/2 Sorc/Pal/Rog Build

    I've never done a build like this before, so I've probably made some mistakes. Constructive Criticism is more than welcome!

    Plan is to use Greatswords to take advantage of the +1 to-hit with Lord of Blades (unless that's not worth it; still though, could you imagine having an Epic SoS on a sorcerer? )

    Yes, I want to be able to Intimidate with this build. Should be able to get into the 50s with just GH and +15 item.

    Thoughts on DR and Hate Enhancements? What's an achievable DR?

    Thoughts on gear?

    My 2p: Don't bother.

    I know you've run with my 16/2/2 before. These builds were awesome a) when firewall worked on everything, and b) prior to PrEs. They're still perfectly effective for soloing inspired quarter, but then again so is everyone else. Absolutely useless at endgame; completely piking all raids other than abbot.

    Melee casters were fine at 12 cap, at 14 cap, even at 16 cap when only rangers had a PrE. But most real melee characters saw a damage increase over 20% from enhancements since then, while casters have no parallel.

    You're pretty much limited as a caster to inferior direct damage and buffs, as your spell pen will be significantly enough lower than that of a full caster (4 levels + 4 feats) that even no-save debuffs won't land reliably or at all against targets that matter.


    In any event, it would be fun to level, and can be fun to play, but I think it deviates too far from optimal for me to play it at this point. Perhaps you feel differently. Mine's about to be TR'd into a Pally, who will enjoy having a torq and all the other caster loot.

    You might also consider a wizard-based version. Skillpoints will be brutally tight on this build, and a wizard can take insightful reflexes instead of 2 Pally levels to cover the save that really matters while picking up more caster levels.
