hi, i have tried copying the file of DDO to a different files in that same turbine folder and it tells me i must start the installer, which i can not seem to find....
1) does anyone know where the installer is? if so is it possible to use it for the copied file?
2) would downloading another client just be easier then go through all that?

you could just copy your current ddo folder into another folder and be done

As Visty said, but with a twist. Also have both Launchers from both folders shortcutted. You need to open them both before you log into either one of them.
Process:
Open Launcher 1
Open Launcher 2
Log in to Launcher 1
Log in to Launcher 2
Choose character
???
Profit.
